Why we started

Living costs have been rising faster than pay, and plenty of people are looking for honest ways to bring in a little extra - whether that's help with the bills or a treat for themselves or their family. Paid research is one of the few genuine options, but the good opportunities are scattered across dozens of sites. We started BD Focus Groups to bring them to you.

Who's behind it

Our founder has spent years helping people find and secure additional sources of income. The "BD" in our name is a family nickname his children have for him - a reminder that this is a small, family-run business, not a faceless corporation.

How it works

Research companies need real people to share opinions on products, services and adverts. We find those opportunities and send them to members whose profile fits. When you see one you like, you apply directly with the company running it; it screens you, runs the study and pays you on its own terms.

How we make money

BD Focus Groups is paid a fee when you sign up to a partner's survey panel, study or offer. That fee comes from the partner, never from you. Joining is free and always will be. More detail is in our earnings and referral disclosure.
